Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Wunderloop is a publication about targeting, ad tech and analytics, so vagueness about data would be odd. This policy describes what is handled when you read wunderloop.com, why, and what you can do about it. The operator is the person or organisation running the site; we and us mean the operator.
What servers record when you visit
The systems that deliver wunderloop.com keep ordinary visit logs. An entry can contain your IP address, the request time, the page asked for, your browser and device type, and the referring page. We use logs to keep the site available, investigate errors and abuse, and see in broad terms which articles get read. We rely on legitimate interest here, because a site cannot stay online or fend off abusive traffic without knowing what is requesting it.
Cookies and similar technology
The site may use cookies or comparable storage needed for pages to display and work correctly. Nothing beyond that is in place. If the site ever adds analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking, this policy will be updated first and any required consent requested. A publication that explains tracking should not use it quietly.
Browser settings and opt-out signals
You can block or delete cookies, use private windows, or install tracking protection. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy control signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever our tools make that possible. Blocking some storage might change a few features, but reading articles should remain possible.
Emails and forms
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it to answer you, fix errors you report and keep a record of the exchange, relying on your request and our legitimate interest in running the site responsibly. We do not sell messages or publish one without asking you. Please leave out client data and credentials.
Newsletters
If Wunderloop offers a newsletter or sign-up form, the details you enter are used only to send what you requested. The lawful basis is your consent, and each issue will explain how to unsubscribe. You can also ask for removal by email.
Outside providers
Publishing a website needs outside providers, such as hosting and content delivery services. They process technical data about visits so pages reach you, under their own privacy terms. We do not currently use embedded videos, social widgets or ad networks. If the site ever adds analytics tools, advertising networks, affiliate programmes or embeds, this policy will name them.
How long data is kept
Visit logs are kept for a limited period, then deleted or reduced to anonymous totals. Emails are kept while they help answer you, support a correction or meet a legal duty, then deleted. Newsletter details, if collected, are kept until you unsubscribe.
Requests about your data
Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, object to certain uses, ask for a copy, or restrict handling. Email [email protected] and say what you want. Because a request could be used to reach someone else’s data, we may first ask for proof that the message comes from you, and we will then answer inside the legal deadline.
Withdrawing consent
Any consent you have given, for a newsletter or for optional storage, can be taken back whenever you like. The Cookie Policy page linked in the footer explains how to change your choices, and you can email us to stop a newsletter or have a message deleted.
Complaints to a regulator
Should you feel your details were mishandled, you can take the matter to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU, EEA or UK, or to the OAIC if you are in Australia. We would welcome the chance to resolve it first, but you need not contact us before going to a regulator.
Young readers
Wunderloop covers professional topics such as audience targeting and campaign reporting, and wunderloop.com is meant for adults and older teenagers, not under-13s. We do not set out to collect anything from a young child. If a parent finds their child has sent a message through wunderloop.com, they can email us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, including encrypted connections and limited inbox access. No online storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in other countries, where privacy laws can differ from yours. When that happens, we expect them to apply appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We will revise this policy when the site, its providers or the law change. The effective date shows the current version, and significant changes, such as adding analytics or advertising, will appear here before they take effect.
Withdrawing consent and complaints
You may take back any consent you gave us at any point; what happened before stays lawful. The cookie policy page lists every cookie this site sets and explains how to change your choice. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
